Just like that, Muharram is upon us again. And just like that, I will turn 23 next month, according to the Muslim calendar.

I’m still shagged from the Maal Hijrah event at Expo last night. Being a volunteer is great & all, but the rush involved in making things go as planned makes special days like this one seem less treasured. Maybe next year I should welcome Muharram quietly and spend more time to reflect.

There aren’t any post-sacrifice photos. I don’t think I could’ve beared the sight of my dying kambing without feeling the slightest pity for it. So the moment after I snapped those photos, I turned around & marched out of the mosque, not looking back till I reached the bus stop.
