- Just splurged close to US$90 on a couple of DVDs I’ve wanted for months: 즐거운 인생 First Press Limited Edition DVD and 한성별곡 Director’s Cut DVD. Shucks. Where the hell is my self-restraint?! Jannah, you still want that iPhone / iPod Touch, do you?
- Speaking of which, iPhone 3G is landing in exactly 8 days! Oh gosh, if I end up getting one, please let there not be long queues.
- I really need to book a hotel room for the HK trip, soon.
- Why are IM clients on Windows so damn ugly???
- Going Turkish for team dinner tonight & Italian tomorrow with TKGians, woot!
- I swear, replying emails take up more energy than coding. X_x
- StreetDirectory.com has their maps back, yay!
Gosh, I need a bloody SingPass! Should’ve applied for one a long time ago. Nobody told me you could do so many useful things with it. I only found out recently while struggling to settle my student loan repayment & passport renewal. It’s such a bother to do stuff like mail cheques & send in handwritten applications when you can do it with a few clicks, in under 5 minutes. I just paid a parking fine while checking my email this morning! I mean, how convenient is that?
I’m all for online transacting, as you can probably tell. It’s really a wonderful thing as long as you take the necessary security precautions. So go request for your SingPass & sign up for an internet banking account with your bank (it’s usually free). I’m not kidding when I say these things make your life easier.
The other day I went out for lunch with a colleague & the tall-and-charismatic-but-too-old-for-me-and-probably-married boss.
What’s funny was that both are SO tall compared to me, I had a hard time catching up with them as we were walking. They were striding effortlessly, but I would’ve had to keep up a mini jog if I wanted to catch up with them. So I just tagged behind.
Felt seriously undergrown between them, no kidding.
The Web 2.0 Show is like, perfect listening material for me. All the talk about AJAX, web standards, blogging, Google, tags, folksonomy, microformats…I love it! I know it sounds ultra geeky, but that’s me I’m afraid.
Speaking of geek stuff, I bought a domain name! I haven’t done anything on it yet though, so I shan’t unveil it now. Be patient, kiddies…
I ordered the Duelist Limited Edition DVD. Mwahahaha.
I don’t know why I’m so happy when I’m actually gonna be $62.50 poorer.
And, and, and…! I’m getting my hands on a copy of Flowers for Algernon! Yay. I was Googling for the websites of bookstore chains in Singapore & came across Acmamall.com. It took me only 2 minutes to order the book, and it’s gonna be delivered to my doorstep. Gotta love online shopping.
Good thing I’m using Papa’s credit card for all these purchases. I would think it’d be harder for me to resist spending if I had one of my own.
I recently finished Kamisama, mou sukoshi dake (God, Please Give Me More Time), my first ever Japanese drama. Though it’s rather old (aired in Japan in 1998), and while watching it there were more than a few moments when I had to suspend my disbelief, it’s a really good melodrama. I’m glad I picked it as my first J-drama. Now I’m on my second, Last Christmas, which is a sweet romantic comedy ala Love Actually. I still have Sekai no chuushin de, ai wo sakebu (Crying Out Love, in the Centre of the World), Moto Kare & Hana Yori Dango on my J-dramas to watch list!
Apparently, My Girl and I will be opening in Cathay Cineplexes this coming Thursday. Sigh, I wish there was a Cathay cinema near me! It’s so inconvenient to travel to Woodlands or Orchard Road just to catch a movie.
I just watched the movie for the second time. Finally got a copy on DVD!
Now I remember why I liked it so much then. It’s so sweet, yet bittersweet. Sigh. And I love British humour. Should watch more British movies!
Friendster is getting so annoying. Every time you update any part of your profile, it’ll take you to this ‘Forward to your friends’ page. Like, NO THANK YOU! I just wanna bloody update my profile without letting the whole world know! Jeez. Who the heck develops these applications. (Well, probably software engineers, like me. Sad.)
Another thought: How do these people actively update their Friendster profiles with their latest photos & what-nots? I hardly peek into Friendster once a week. But it seems like there’s a lot of photo uploading, testimonial writing & profile updating going on all the bloody time. I guess that kinda motivated me to blow the dust off my outdated profile & revamp it a little. Let’s see how long this will last.
I’ve overspent so much this month, it’s not even funny. Oh, forget it. I’m not gonna get depressed over it. Only 2 weeks to go till my next paycheck.
I feel SO stoned today. This morning I woke up at some ungodly hour & couldn’t go back to sleep until about an hour later. Like, WTH? I have no idea why I went a little insomniac there. Usually, when I wake up suddenly in the middle of the night I fall right back to sleep 2 seconds later.
What a nightmare it must be to have insomnia.
Stupid Micro$oft Exchange Server is throwing tantrums again. The company should really upgrade it or something. Last I heard they were moving servers, but apparently that didn’t work. Dang. I really need to send that email out to Brian before he goes for reservice.
I discovered Backpack recently. It’s so nifty that I use it every day now. If you’re curious as to what the heck is Backpack, visit my public pages. I have one for work & one for everything else in life. They’re very much for my own reference only right now. But I wanna try creating shared Backpack pages. For what purpose, I don’t know yet.
